Hellllllllo!

As you may or may not have read in another thread, the Adam's Shine Squad is out here in Auburn, Indiana for the Fall Auction by RM. In addition to that, the Auburn Car Museum contacted us about polishing out, and getting ready this wonderful piece of history for their Gala Auction next Thursday night.

The owner of the car and I agreed to get as much as we can all pretty before then. This includes a Waterless Wash, Clean and Dress all tires and trim, clean, polish and dress all interior, clean and polish all metal, get the glass perfect, and the following polish process:

(The car does have some areas where we cannot touch due to paint cracking or bubbling. There are also a fair amount of swirl marks, which we are gonna make go away as much as possible without wetsanding, tomorrow.)

Clay

FMP with the Flex (may need SHR in spots...paint is super soft and feels like we can rock it with just FMP)

Revive on a black Pad, Dylan style

Brilliant Glaze on a black Pad

Americana Paste Wax

Today, since the transaction happened after lunch, and since we spent the morning at the Auction House marketing and networking, we were able to get everything done save for the glass, a little bit of metal polishing, and the actual machine work. I figure we have a good three hours left into making this beauty come back to it's Buttery Cream color. Justin, Greg and I all teamed up here, and are finding great results in the work we have accomplished to this point.

The WhiteWalls are white again, the metal is face-melting, the engine bay is as clean and dressed as we can get it, and the interior (after another pass of Leather Conditioner) sings! We will continue to hand polish the nooks and crannies of it, and then move onto claying and machining the rest in the morning!

Please check back, as today was only part of the process.

Thank You,

Mook

Amazing car...you guys hiring in 4 years, 311 days, 3 hours, 20 mins? Bwahahah, but who's counting?

Seriously, awesome job Mook/crew, looks amazing. That is one heck of a car you got the privelage to detail. I'd be nervous detailing that car, for fear of damaging a classic.

Hey everyone! I am uploading the pics now, check back in a few! Thanks for the kind words to me, but my team deserves more credit than I!

Justin works shows and clinics a lot for Thompson Racing, and it is truly a joy working with him. Greg is always on the road trips, and he too is killer! Not A killer LOL! We do have a special guest coming in tomorrow to help over the weekend. Lynn, Billy, Al, Flaco from the Warehouse, and Adam himself will be here on the 31st for the actual Auction part of the trip.

Justin will also be posting pics as he took some today...probably more and better results shots than I got...

Like I said, Justin will be posting some more here in a bit...and by the looks of them on his laptop...WOW! (We ended up doing BG by hand. I was following Justin with FMP and Revive on a machine whilst he did the SHR part. Greg was all over the place making sure that rear view mirror, and all the rest of the metal in the car looked 1000x better than when we got there!)

Again, I can't believe I am blessed enough to be here and doing what I am doing, and being a part of making history shine!

Thank You Everyone! But more thanks to Greg and Justin for punching that bad metal and paint in the mouth!

Might I add....

If anyone is questioning the importance of Revive Polish....ALL the metal and ALL the paint was hit with it either directly after FMP, or directly before MP #1 and MP #2. It made a GIGANTIC difference...especially in the old metal!

It was also a pleasure working and hanging out with you sir! I hope I get the opportunity for Reno next year, and I can hang with my favorite Kiwi!

Nice work!

You guys have the best in the business. Justin runs a detail shop in Lambertville called Swan Creek Auto Care. He is the most meticulous person I have ever seen and the quality is top notch. Justin and Brian worked the shows all summer with me and they bust their butts!

If you want a model of how a shop should look and be maintained, stop by or check out his site:

Thank you for your kind words Eric, but if it was not for you it would make running my shop a lot harder. As there have been many times that I have been in a jam on not having enough product to finish a car and you have come through for me that same day making sure I had enough. It is always a pleasure doing business with you, and I highly recommend Eric from Thompaon Racing as a adams dealer to everyone!
