Pre-soaking in bucket?

Franklin's Bee

Question

Hey guys, I just wanted to know if it would be safe if I could pre soak my towels with APC (like I normally do) then place them into a bucket, but my two questions are

1.is 1oz of my microfiber towel detergent safe to fill up first with then put the towels in?

2. How long should I keep them in there?

I appreciate the help!:)

Kind of confused on the first question, but I'll try.

1. 1 oz is what I use....2 oz for alot of towels or heavily soiled, and yes you can pre soak with APC, but I don't very often. I'll hit a towel every now and then if I have staining.

2. I pre-soak my towels 12-24 hours, then rinse them really good. Then I'll machine wash. The pre-soaking on the towels will help with stains etc, but will also remove most of the wax's, polishes, etc before it even gets to your washer. I would rather dump a nasty 5 gallon bucket out in my neighbors yard than run it through my washer:lolsmack:

Cool let me know how it works out. If you have continued staining, alot of guys use a small amount of vinegar in the rinse cycle to remove excess waxes and polishes. I haven't tried it though.

I used to presoak with MF detergent for really dirty MF towels, or after waxing to clean the MF before washing. Even if you use liquid Woolite or other non-softener detergent, I believe that the pre-soak really loosens up the spots - you can almost rub them out by hand before the hit the washer. I gently squeeze out the MF coming out of the bucket, then I give them a wash in cold, and skin temperature air for the dryer.
