Here's a low down of what's happening. Adams has been gracious enough to sponsor the event and we can't thank them enough for that. Should be some good fun had by all. Thursday September 8 4:00-6:00 "Early Bird" Registration (North Tower Lobby Isle of Capri) 6:30 Convoy to The Machine Shed Restaurant - Gather at parking lot west of the bridge (7250 Northwest Blvd, Davenport, IA, 52806, Exit 292 of I-80. 11.08 miles, 17 minutes from Isle of Capri) 7:00 Dinner Upon Arrival (Cost of dinner is on your own, not covered by registration) Friday September 9 10:00-12:00 Registration (North Tower Lobby Isle of Capri) 12:00-1:00 Group Lunch (Calypso's Buffet at Isle of Capri, $3.99 with player's club card, $7.99 without) (Cost of lunch is on your own, not covered by registration) 1:30-3:30 Registration (North Tower Lobby Isle of Capri) 4:00 Convoy to Cordova Dragway Park - Gather at parking lot west of the bridge (19425 Route 84 N, Cordova, IL, 61242. 21.76 miles, 33 minutes from Isle of Capri) 5:30 Track Opens ($20 to race, $8 adult spectator, $3 age 6-12, under 5 free. Cost of racing is on your own, not covered by registration) 6:00-10:00 Racing (Eliminations at about 8:00 if we have enough people who want to bracket race) Saturday September 10 10:00-11:00 Car Show Set-Up 11:00-2:00 Car Show (popular vote ballots due by 1:00) 3:00 Group Convoy - Gather at parking lot west of the bridge (details and route provided at event. There will be stops at "Poopy's" for dinner, and other photo opportunity stops) Sunday September 11 11:00 Awards Ceremony/Raffle Drawings/Refreshments (Isle of Capri ballroom) 12:00 "Pilgrimage to Pontiac" - Optional group convoy to Pontiac, IL to the new Pontiac Oakland Automobile Museum (205 N Mill St, Pontiac, IL, 61764, 141.31 miles SE of Bettendorf, IA, 2 hour, 28 minute drive). Post up some pics! You could've had G8 pictures anytime you liked just by going to your garage, but you had to get rid of it. Just kidding.
