StormChaser
Some of you may have seen that I went on vacation recently...well here are the pictures from my adventures!! I left Virginia Beach at 2am, Saturday 08/27. I had to leave a few hours early to avoid tunnel/bridge closure for Hurricane Irene. It was definitely hectic storm but nothing I haven't been in before! (Thus my screen name). I was due to be in Auburn, Indiana at the Auction with Mook around 2pm. However, I only got a few hours of sleep and ended up sleeping in my TBSS in the Waffle House parking lot. I took a few other naps on the way there...started seeing double, etc. I did see an eerie site... These trucks were headed to the east coast to relieve folks from the hurricane. I get to Auburn around 5pm as Mook and the Shine Crew were finishing up for the evening. Greetings were done and we ate dinner. I was dragging booty from driving all day and the guys were tired from working. We called it a night. I spent a few days in Auburn and helped the Shine Crew (which I was THRILLED to be a part of) with a few rides. I met Adam....YES THE CHIEF himself! I was pretty excited...I won't lie! I was hoping to get a pic with him but we were pressed for time. I had been working my butt off, sweating like a mad man, had smurf hands (revive polish) and yea...hair was a mess....but he was awesome! Here are a few pics of the cars.....I won't go into detail on the process as Mook is taking care of that in another thread at another time. I was only there for a three or four days...I can't keep count but here are a few of my favorite pictures.... Riviera (I think?) Before shots: Here is Mook (chris) showing me how to use the Flex.... I tackled the left side and trunk of the same car.... Here I am styling and profiling in the red Chevelle SS. This was one amazing ride and the fumes smelled YUMMY.... Mook and Greg doing final prep work on the Chevelle SS 2010 Chevy Camaro - Pace Car Someone signed the dash....I honestly don't remember who. LOL Black Chevelle SS - Greg did an amazing job on the roof. Partial side by side. Greg and Mook - Random Shot of our Team Meeting...Justin was to my left. Mook showing me the wicked ways of using the BG on a pad... (pic is bad) Chicago pictures will come soon enough. I just downloaded them. Now I have to resize those and whatnot....but it's midnight and I'm going to bed. I had an amazing time with the Adams Crew and I hope to do it again sometime! I am still sore....I busted my left knee...right ankle...right leg had road rash...right arm had road rash. I am a klutz. I was always dropping things and the guys were quick to poke fun !!! I loved every minute of it. How I got the road rash was I was on my stool...Yea I had my stuff with me because I was going to detail my SS at Scott's house...but I was sliding around...wiping away something on a ride...and the stool stopped, but I did not....I ended up on my right side on the ground....BUT I SAVED THE SINGLE SIDED MF TOWEL. That's right!!!!!!!! I saved it baby!!! OOOOOOOOOOO My gosh...I forgot....Adam did a walk around on my ride. She has a bit of swirling and was in need of a detail (thus why I was having Scott help me....I always help everyone else and my ride gets neglected).....and having driven 19 hours two days before....Yea...she was in bad shape. Not to mention I have swirls under my clear bra.....Adam said "yea guys we can't let her leave here with this" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA We were so busy and only had time for wash and Super VRT. On this adventure Mook noticed that I needed new tires. I mean I bought my girl 09/01/2008 - 9 miles on the wheels. As of last Wednesday I had 44,6xx on the same stock tires!!! Apparently I had metal showing in the middle of the tire...which I never saw because I hardly ever park my truck and leave the tires crooked.... There went 900 I didn't expect to spend so soon...but Chris got me the right tires and I was able to order them and get them on before I headed to my next destination....CHICAGO. Pictures coming tomorrow on that adventure!

Fit08
Hey, sounds like you had fun. Glad to hear you replaced the tires especially with the cords showing very dangerous, a front one can spell disater! Question: what is with the tape on the photo of the two cares far left is a black chevelle maybe with tape mid body line full. There is no seam like the door shot?? Just curious. Doug123
Oh oh oh niiice red chevelle. Looks like you guys really gave it the Adam's touch. Did it have a non-stock cam in it? Those Chevelles had their own kind of music...

Question: what is with the tape on the photo of the two cares far left is a black chevelle maybe with tape mid body line full. There is no seam like the door shot?? Just curious. I had an awesome time. The tape is to protect damaged area on the paint that wouldn't be able to handle the flex or pc. The seams of some vehicles were flaking n stuff so it was precautionary on our part to avoid damage to the cars. StormChaser
Hopefully the guys didn't make you work too much Brandi... but it sounds like you had a good time. Oh, I worked my butt off!!!!! From Sunday - half day Wednesday.....Monday night I was walking around like an old woman. By end of Tuesday, I couldn't hold a PC or Flex anymore...my arm muscles were that sore/weak. I loved it though. I learned a lot from those guys and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
