Z71_Denali
not so fast trying to get me i've had it for just over 2 years and 1 month, putting just over 10,500 miles on it during that time. i got an offer a week ago i couldn't refuse! buyer offered me used retail value, plus a percentage of some of the aftermarket performance parts i've added. those were my conditions of the sell. he basically told me he wanted my car and all the options i already had on it, but didn't want to go through the money and trouble to buy everything new and have it installed. and he didn't want to wait for the new ZL1. he mentioned he was going to put Corsa exhaust (muffler delete right now), LS9 cam, and a Magnacharger on it. after a week of thinking about it, my wife and i rationalized the sell of my baby so that we could be debt free and save faster for our first home. the past 6 months i've really neglected it, putting maybe 50 miles a month on it, letting it sit under a cover. and with the new ZL1 coming out, the value of the car will only continue to go down. i think it would take at least 25-30 years and a ground up resto at that time to get that price again! new owner picks her up tonight on the bright side, by monday morning all our student loans will finally be paid off and the only monthly bills we'll have will be for rent and utilities! so what comes next? well my wife said, "after we buy a house, you can start saving for your dream car. how awesome would it be to pay cash for a 1 or 2 year old Crystal Red Metallic Z06 or even a ZR1?" Team Adam's
Thats a responsible decision, and I'm sure not an easy one to make, but you'll be better off for it in the long run.

I cant wait till my Truck and Tahoe are paid off so I can start fixing up my house and getting ready to re-sell it yeah, i financed my camaro, paid it off within a year... before i got married. i paid cash for my truck last year, and the same with my wife's car this past March. i inherited A LOT in student loans from my wife, and that's all that is left. not oweing anything on a vehicle is the best feeling ever! i don't think i will ever finance anything again... except maybe a 15yr mortgage on a home with a big down payment! this is why i haven't gotten that brand new vette yet, i refuse to finance it. i almost got my wife in a CTS-V sedan when we got her SRX, and i would have traded the camaro in to do that so we wouldn't have to finance, but she wanted something more practicle

DieselDude
You done the right thing. A home is better than a car. On the other side you still have two very nice vehicles.
Golf for Life
When I first bought my house in 1981, I sold my good car (Camaro Z28) and drove a Monza rust bucket for a few years. Trained all of my attention to the house and getting it just as I wanted it. Now the house is paid off for many years and I drive what I want and enjoy. It will be well worth any sacrifice, looks like you have some nice rides.

Z71_Denali
Dave Ramsey would be proud. my wife bought me his book 2 years ago for my birthday right after i bought my camaro... he is the only reason why i stopped financing cars and paid off all my debt as fast as possible! $160,000 in cars, student loans, and a credit card paid for in 2 years! that includes both our student loans, my camaro, my wife's old car, and our wedding/honeymoon that we put on a credit card! i had to sell my jet ski and camaro to do it, but now i can call into Dave's show next friday to scream, "WE'RE DEBT FREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
