So here's and interesting story... I was recently driving down to Savannah, Georgia, and stopped in Atlanta to get some gas after I finally found a nice looking one. But quickly saw I made a mistake - it was a trap! There was one of those Fast Wax dealers set up in the middle of the center pumps... I tried to park on the farthest pump away from them but sure enough they still came over. The first guy told me my car was nice and its a shame it was so dirty (nvm the fact I had just driven it 21 hours in 3 days). He asked if I had ever heard of them, and I was like yeah I've seen a few posts about you guys on forums before... So he starts telling me all the classic lines of how its the official wax of the showroom floor for nascar, etc.. After listening to his BS I finally tell him I use Adam's detail products. He told me he had never heard of them but goes on to offer me a sampling on a dirty spot behind my front wheel... I told him nah man I'm good and he took the hint and finally left.
Once he went inside, his buddy who was also selling came over and asked me how I liked it and I told him I didn't let him use it. He was appalled and started asking me all these questions.. So I went into great detail about my technique and how I start of with a wash before I even prep for waxing with clay, machine polishing, sealant, glaze, and then top it off with my wax.
So heres the best part. He responds by saying, "Well, this is a carnuba wax so you know, it's just a step above." So I whipped out my tub of Americana and showed him it was a carnuba paste so its protection is just a step above that spray.
After awhile I start to turn the tables on him and begin pitching products trying to get him into Adam's. Finally he goes "Alright man, well, check us out, and come back if you need anything."
