Does anyone know any websites to visit or know of some formulas to determine the number/kind of fixtures, height of fixtures, and spacing for different lighting conditions? We are building a shop and will end up with 40'x46' of shop space with 20' ceilings and can't seem to find much information on lighting.

About 12 4' fluorescent fixtures that look like they came out of an old K-mart or something from the 80's. They need replaced.

If you go "wild" with the lighting, you better consider upgrading to a 20 amp switch in your house panel!! The 8' Daylight or SuperBright tubes will also make a big difference without drawing any heavy amps but the addition of flood lights along with running a PC could be a problem.

I have 2 single 8 footers (super brights) and it is not enough for the 2 car garage. Planning on adding 2 more set of 8 footers

Just my thoughts!!! :burnout:
