"DO NOT WASH" printable dealership warning hangers

We all know the horrors that await your paint job when its in for any kind of service at a dealer or shop.

You can ask the service manager to make sure the porters don't wash your car and screw up all your hard work, but sometimes that message doesn't make it all the way to the right people.

 

These FREE printable hangers can be placed on your rear view mirror, gear shift, or anywhere else to get the attention of any potential washer to make sure they know not to bother with whatever swirl inducing rag and sponge combo they have in mind.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Click your preferred hanger image below
   
2. Download to your computer (right click, save as)
   
3. Print the hanger on a heavy card stock
   
4. Cut out along the dotted line
   
   • OPTIONAL - print 2 copies and glue back to back for a 2 sided hanger.

[*]Hang the notice from your rear view or gearshift

[*]Sleep easy knowing you your ride won't come back with swirls!

Brilliant idea! I would even buy a laminated version of this. I have had bad experience with shops and dealerships ruining my paint because of there ignorance.

Thanks Matt. I've been doing this for years (handwritten) myself... figured we could use an 'official' one.

 

We will also look to have heavier flexible plastic ones made, but so far its been my experience that the paper ones work fine and if they get damaged its cheap to print a new one.

I had just finished up work for the day and was checking Adam's... you should have seen me running around trying to get this done before someone else did.

I noticed this also... the "Do Not" needs to be lower, the mirror hides that line! On my pic I had to pull it down lower so that the "Do Not" was showing.

 

Dylan, can you adjust it so that the "Do NOT" is lower and isn't hidden? We sure wouldn't want to send the wrong message to the dealer!

Can do... probably need to see what the average hang distance is on a bunch of vehicles and pick the best spacing for whatever works for the most cars. I'd imagine its different on every car to some degree.

We're looking at how much it would be to make them on a flexible plastic, just like a hotel 'do not disturb' sign is. Stay tuned.
