Wedding Day (Thought I would share)

Hey guys, we finally got our wedding album back from our photographers and it brought back the good times we had that day. Figured I would share a little about my day with my other family here on the Adam's forum.

My wife and I are huge snowboarding freaks. I grew up in Chino California, and she grew up in Brentwood Tennessee. We both found each other living in Connecticut and had our first date on a snowboarding trip up to Mont Tremblant Quebec. We love winters here in New England and travel to Vermont almost weekly to ride. We figured there was no other place to get married than in Vermont.

We chose a little town called Pittsfield. A few months before our wedding in September 2011 Hurricane Irene came thru here and brought a tropical storm into Vermont causing the worse damage the state has seen. Of course Pittsfield and our venue were hit the hardest off all and the town was an island and almost everything was flooded. In the end the town pulled together and got everything almost back to normal before out big day in late October.

When we arrived the day before to the venue forecasts suddenly called for a freak winter storm in October and of course being snow lovers we we excited. Our actual wedding day was perfect. During the reception it began to snow and we had about 8 inches of fresh powder to celebrate with. They say it's good luck when it rains on your wedding day. I guess in out case rain wasn't acceptable and snow was the only forecast we wanted.

Thanks for reading. And here are some pictures from the big day. Hope you all enjoy them.

Congrats !! You from California and she's from Tenn....what made you settle in CT ?? I lived in CT my whole life......thats my excuse !! ;)

All my family is all originally born and raised in Stamford. In the 70's my parents decided to live the California dream and move to SoCal. Eventually my family slowly moved back to CT 1 by 1.

My wife always wanted to live in New England so she got into UConn then was living in Boston when we first started dating. She couldn't stand TN anymore. I actually like it there from the times I've visited.

Funny I should be writing this up, because I have my Mom here at our house tonight for the last time. She just retired and bought a house in Palm Desert where one of my sisters live with her husband and kids. She leaves tomorrow morning. We are constantly going back and forth from CT to CA for family visits and vacations.

I lived in SoCal for 22 years before moving back to CT, and I've never regret it. I loved living in CA, but I just needed a new change, and love the season in New England.

Thanks for all the kind words from everyone. Maybe I'll get around to sharing the honeymoon pics. Being snowboard freaks and having a crappy winter here we found all the snow we could handle in Austria and also visited Munich as well. GOOD TIMES!!!
