How is the Flex different from other rotarys?

I have a question about the Flex and searched but couldn't really find the answer I was looking for. Sorry if this is a newb question, or if it has been asked/answered before, but what makes the Flex special, say as opposed to a Craftsman polisher that my Dad has, or even a cheap one at a box store? I don't mind the pricing, just want to know why/how it is different than any lower dollar fixed shaft buffer. I absolutely understand the differences in the "pads" but if both machines rotate at "x" rpms is that not the same thing? Thanks for any clarification.

The Flex 3401VRG is not a rotary polisher. It's a forced rotation, dual action, eccentric polisher.

Have you watched any of the videos?

Of the two machines we sell,

The PC operates dual action only...all the polishing happens upon the machine oscillating at 5-6000 OPM. Whereas the Flex 3401 has the forced rotation to make it spin, but not exactly in a circle.

If there is a Detail Clinic near you soon, head on over and see them both in person.

Yes, I'm friends with AJ, just didn't want to bother him with the question. I own the PC7424XP and love it! Guess I see "regular" polishers (i.e. craftsman, bunch of off brands) and just wondered how the Flex was different, now I know, thanks.
