Thought about this for a long time, but not wanting to get a THIRD set of wheels and tires, I just bit the bullet and replaced my extreme performance summer tires with R-compounds! I got the street legal semi-slicks NT01 by Nitto. They look extremely sexy and should be good for shaving at least a couple seconds off my lap times at the road track. :willy:

I'm not sure what will be more fun, beating these babies up at the track or babying them back home with all the Adams products to keep em looking sexy. Alright, I'm lying, the cleaning part will definitely come in second, but it'll still be fun!:D

I love those tires! Have fun with them but make sure you share a shot of them looking fresh with some SVRT please!!

Got any video of you on the track?

Here's a nice session where I'm keeping up with a Ferrari 430 Scuderia with a pretty decent driver behind the wheel. With these new rubber puppies I should be able to be all over his @$$ :lolsmack:

Hey man, question. Maybe silly, but what do you use to write on your tires with? Is it just chalk?

Yep my daughter's sidewalk chalk from years ago :jester: (she's in college now!)

Love love love my nittos. Only 1 other tire I would rather have on my car if it wasn't a daily driver but it is so I'll stick with my 555's.

Tires are ready to be mounted. Spent a TON of time this weekend removing the glue from the big stickers on them, then SVRT'd the hell out of them! I'm not sure if this will make mounting harder but I don't really care; they look awesome and they're not even on the rims yet!!

Yeah 225s all around. I'm actually running 235 NT05s now, but found them to get a LOT less sticky at the end of their life. AND they rubbed in the rear (I'm lowered) AND they are directional, whereas the NT01s are not so I'll be able to rotate these side to side as well.

Yes I'm a road track guy, I don't do straight lines :-) but seeing as one guy in my club did a 13.6 on the stock tune (260whp/260wtq), my car should be able to get close a 12 I'd say. But I guess we'll never know. I can't launch for sh!t and I'll be damned if I let someone else beat up my car ;-)

BTW if you're looking for deals on Nitto tires, look at discounttire's ebay page. I paid only $660 shipped for my set of NT01s ! Of course for 275s/315s that'll be a little more...

Would love to see your setup on the Jeep man! I love that SRT!
