86lxjunker
Hi Guys - I have a quick question. I just got my kit today and I also ordered the Green Wheel Cleaner. Is it safe to use on GM Chrome Clad rims - my 09 Malibu has 18" Chrome Clad and was wondering what the best method is to clean them. I have been just washing them with soap & water and have NOT been using any products on them, because I know they are not true chrome. Whats the safest cleaner to utilize ? (I used search to no avail) Thanks
Z71_Denali
yes its safe! treat it just as you would painted wheels. if you put QS on the wheels, stick to car shampoo mixed with water in a bottle with a foaming sprayer. it'll make the sealant last longer. BlueGenCoupe
What Kit did you get? Your best bet would be green wheel cleaner with the turbo stick. On my matte black rims, i use the adams shampoo and the merino wash mit.

mc2hill
If soap and water has been cleaning them to your satisfaction, then keep using that. As Ryan said, using pre-mixed shampoo with a foaming sprayer makes it even easier! If they are very dirty, then step up to the GWC. Least aggressive product first! This is how I cleaned the wheels on all my vehicles last year! Not once did I need GWC, but I do a LOT of highway driving with my G8. GWC is a GREAT product, but it's like polishing. Only use a the product that gives you the results you need while being less destructive to the finish.
Chris@Adams
Adam's Green Wheel Cleaner - 36 oz Is safe on your clad rims. Regular washing is key on any wheel surface, to keep brake dust down.
