GaryW Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Did a little fresh touch up to my Tahoe. The usual 2 bucket, Spray Sealant, Americana,, followed by some Brillant Glaze. Love that stuff. Really made the paint glow. Oh and can forget the In and Out spray on the grill, wiper area.... One thing to note, started to clean interior. Got in the truck,, Put some leather conditioner on Red Interior applicator. Started to rub seat only to quickly realize that I had grabbed the SHR instead. A quick hurry up and wipe it off and apply the right stuff. The bottles look the same and was in a hurry. Wow, thought I had ruined the seat.
InDepthAutoDetailing Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Looks nice! FYI the SVRT will not polish out headlights.
07RS4 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Nice job Gary...I can see the high and tight in the reflection
GaryW Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Nice job Gary...I can see the high and tight in the reflection Thanks Dave, still can not get rid of the Ole Military Flattop after all these years, grows on a person.
GaryW Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Looks nice! FYI the SVRT will not polish out headlights. Thats funny,, same thing my told me right after I told her what I did. Got that wired feeling in the stomach right after I looked down at the bottle. But alittle L & I cleaner and apply the correct stuff, and it came out great.. Close Call.. .
GaryW Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Looks great! Now If I can get some wheels. Like the ones you sport and the cat that has the blacked out Tahoe.
GaryW Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 :2thumbs: Great reflection!! Thanks !!! I had a helper but as you can see from the reflection, she had a better idea than helping out Dad.
Doug123 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Looks great! Really great reflections, and on silver no less! Looks like it just came off the production line, maybe better!

Fit08 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Just curious, I always was under the impression we put Americana OVER Brilliant Glaze??
mc2hill Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Just curious, I always was under the impression we put Americana OVER Brilliant Glaze?? Correct, or BG over Americana, your choice.
GaryW Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 Just curious, I always was under the impression we put Americana OVER Brilliant Glaze?? I had read in one of the post to do it either way. I had the truck all done,, it was in the garage. I pulled it out to hand polish the wheels, then put Spay Sealant on them. While it was setting, I got the ole BG out and start applying, to my surprise, i put it around the whole truck, not the top. It was sunny and rather warm. I thought oh **@#$ this stuff will be hard to get off. It wiped right off, no pressure at all,, use a double soft and CA-CHING off it came. But the glow it left was unreal. Neighbor came over and watched. He kept saying you will have a hard time wiping all that off in the sun. After I started wiping, had had to try to see how easy it was. Now he wants his red ford ranger done. Daddy needs a new Adams rolling seat...... Oh yes and GXPAYCHECK the seats are swirl free now. Even under the big lights. Now how long do I let the Super Sealant set on leather Will not make that mistake again.
