InDepthAutoDetailing
I'm trying to decide between these two. The Ram will also be getting a leveling kit installed. This one would be 18x9 with 295/70/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers http://www.rimzoneonline.com/category/801D/XD-801-Black-Machined/ Or this one which is 20x9 and I'm still deciding on tire size http://www.rimzoneonline.com/category/1073/Fuel-Dune-Gloss-Black-Machined/ Decisions:willy::willy:

Chris@Adams
Did you ever think about going with Bilsteins 5100 shocks for leveling? I think I like the 20's.

InDepthAutoDetailing
I vote the second one for sure! Thanks. I really liked the first one until I found the second. I need to just go ahead and purchase and stop looking. Did you ever think about going with Bilsteins 5100 shocks for leveling?I think I like the 20's. I've thought about the 5100s but I've heard they settle over time. Not much but they do settle. I may do the leveling kit and the 5100s and have the best of both worlds. second set! Thanks. Now if the government will hurry up and send me my money.
mdwatts11
Definitely the second set. As for tires...I have a set of Cooper Zeon LTZs on my truck and love them. Just passed 55,000 miles with them and will probably be able to get another 5k or so. They are nice and aggressive like the nitto terra grapplers. Just a thought. Momo.75
I really like the second set as well. I just put on some new wheels today. Check'em out. http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/vehicle-mods/16982.htm
Chase@InsanePaint
DUDES. NO WAY. Option #1 FTW without a doubt. The second one looks waaaay too busy, completely toooooo much going on design-wise. ALSO, on a 4x4 vehicle = smaller rim & BIGGER tire. On a 2wd truck = BIGGER rim and smaller tire. Know what I mean??? Do whatever makes you happy Len. But my opinion is option #1 all day long. On my Jeep, I LOOOOOOOOVE my 17" with a 35" tire. I would NOT dig a 20" with a smaller tire. But that's just me. And option #2 is just way too busy. Looks like it belongs on a Honda Civic (no offense) not a Hemi Dodge Ram. Good Luck!!!
InDepthAutoDetailing
Well Chase just upset the apple cart. I like the gloss of the first one but I like the way the first one has a continuous machined edge. I like to be able to see difference between wheel and tire. I'm weird that way. I'm also considering getting these in black powder coat. Steps, Nerf Bars & Running Boards - Dominator II Side Step Bars By Go Rhino I just have to find them for a crew cab. Chase@InsanePaint
Lol, sorry Len. I dig the side steps. Black FO SHO.
bjoeaull
To be honest, neither are my style. But if I had to pick, I would go with Chase on this one, #1. Not sure why, just looked nicer. But I will say that I would do 20's, with a big MT tire, thats a mean look right there! 20's don't look as big as they use to. Assuming of coarse its stays on paved roads! lol But I agree with you on the jeep Chase, 20's might be too big for the JK.

InDepthAutoDetailing
Well against the odds I went with the first set. Could be that SRTLUVR will be buying my lunch the day I have them put on. I'm going to Birmingham on the 3rd and he's gonna take me to lunch so I don't have to sit there and wait. I'm doing a 2.5" in front and 1" in the back with 18x9 XDs and 295/70/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Pics in about two weeks.

DieselDude
I just noticed this post. Len you made the right choice in going with the first set. I think a truck should have a smaller rim and larger tire (or is Chase rubbing off on us here). If Chase is buying why don't we all show up. InDepthAutoDetailing
Cant wait to see! Good Choice I can't wait either. 7 days and counting. I just noticed this post. Len you made the right choice in going with the first set. I think a truck should have a smaller rim and larger tire (or is Chase rubbing off on us here). If Chase is buying why don't we all show up. Come on down. If it looks weird I'll just blame Chase. Awesome Len. That beast is going to look mean. Thanks. I want a more aggressive look. I think this'll do it. I'll be posting before and after pics once I get these Manufacturers of high quality Nerf Steps, Prerunners, Harley Bars, Light Bars, Replacement Front Bumpers, Rock Rails, Rear Runners, Tire Carriers & Truck Accessories Installed
MiloX
Sweet. You going with black p/c? Going to do anything about the rest of the chrome on the truck? PTM? Blackout?
InDepthAutoDetailing
Sweet. You going with black p/c? Going to do anything about the rest of the chrome on the truck? PTM? Blackout? On the steps they said black powder coat but when they showed up they are glossy black. I didn't know a powder coat could be glossy. Nothing a little linex won't fix later. I'm thinking of trying plastidip on my fuel door. If I don't like it I'll peel it off. As for the rest of the chrome, I'm not sure. I actually like chrome bumpers and grill and wheels. I couldn't find any chrome wheels that I liked. My next cosmetic mod will be a sport hood with some flat black mixed in along with the inferno red. Probably next year though unless I win the lottery. I like some of the custom built bumpers but 3 grand for a bumper is a little out of my budget.
MiloX
Sounds good. I am on a mission to delete as much chrome as possible. The rap starts out with only a few chrome pieces.... But they are sill there. gotta wrap or dip the parts.

Chewy
You may want to look at upgrading your pads and rotors at the same time. Your braking distance will probably increase by a large margin and vented rotors with better pads will help reduce that. Either wheel looks good to me! I always go for the lightest and strongest. You usually have to pay through the nose for that though. Chris
Momo.75
I'm currently at Southern Offroad in Pelham, AL having the mods done. It won't be long now. I meant to get with you earlier this week, but we had an unexpected trip to Children's Hospital for a concussion. All is good now. We have a pretty slammed day, ending with a drive to Mobile tonight, so i won't be able to get down there. Can't wait to see some pics.
paoutdoorsman
Can't wait to see the pics. Just now read this thread, but 18's vs. 20's on a 4x4 is good choice.
