PC 7424 Question...

DA1984VETTE

Question

Maybe a dumb question at that and it may have been answered on here before, but being a noob thought I would ask. Has anyone ever used the white foam pad that came with the 7424 or is it good for anything? I thought maybe putting a buffing/polishing cloth on it, what do you guys think? :pc:

you could use it to remove MSS. put a double soft between the pad and the paint, turn the speed down, and it buffs the sealant off fast without scratching! i did this as instructed in the instructional videos, but left my used MSS pad on the PC. it left a huge grey circular stain on the side of the towel touching the pad. now i switch to an unused or washed out pad before proceeding.

Polish glass with it...don't throw out a perfectly good pad. Just because it isn't Adam's, doesn't mean it doesn't have it's uses.

Keep in mind that you have to remove the backing plate to install it.

What a PITB!

My comment has NOTHING to do with the brand. Just the inconvenience of using it.

Yeah, it's a pain. But the backing plate only takes a second to remove. Plus with a little SSWR and SHR on there is good take car of some water spots....or with a little revive/SHR combo, polish up chrome bumpers to a mirror shine. I'm not sure of the cut of the pad, but I would find something to use it on. :lolsmack:
