Continuing to be shocked!

I've been an Adams customer since around mid November...I've spent quite a bit, for me, within the last 5-6 months totaling around $1300 all together either from the site itself or from Len (InDepthAutoDetailing) my local vendor (side note Len is REALLY good guy, respectable and always does me right). I have ANOTHER $5-600 in my cart as wants/refills..from start till now I have almost all product Adams offers minus a few odds and ends and everything has ALWAYS exceeded my expectations and has made myself a more confident detailer. I've started a little side job business that's REALLY taken off MUCH faster than I ever thought!! Working my regular job 5-6 days a week I can barely barely keep up with the amount of cars people want me to do..seems like I almost have a full correction every weekend now. And who's to blame for the success?? ADAMS POLISHES and SRTLUVR (my good friend and coworker) for the introduction!

 

Which leads me to the "why" I love Adams polishes...the COMMUNITY!! While mostly American cars, which I don't own, most all are very accepting of what others have and are very respectable and congratulating on details of non-forum brand cars which is freaking awesome! Most car forums are so divided that its almost blasphemy to own anything not the "norm" to them :willy:

 

NOW.....down to the REAL topic here...I recently purchased a Daily Special, ANOTHER ONE :lol: So I go home with my package on my lunch break and open it, just to make sure (which Adams has hardly EVER messed up my order). What do I see??? A gift certificate for free shipping on my next order over $75!!!

 

What did I win? What did I do to deserve a freebie?!

......NOTHING!!!! That's what!!!

And THAT is what was SO COOL AND UNEXPECTED!!

 

I've gotten free shipping before..BUT it was from OTHER companies that screwed up my order in the first place! Was not expecting a "Hey we just wanted to say thank you for supporting us and staying with us, for purely shopping us and supporting our product heres a personal free shipping code for no other reason other than being a loyal Adams customer even though we know you would buy all this stuff anyway"

....WOW!!! JUST WOW!!! I can't stress how BLOWN AWAY I really was!

This site is awesome, and the products are great. I'm definitely jealous you're getting work every weekend. If I could do that I'd love it (most of the time). I'm not sure if it's a domestic car thing so much as forum networking. Adams crew is about the US vehicles, but I think they are just active on those forums and draw people in with the amazing results. It's very cool of Adams to give free shipping. That's a fee that ticks everyone off!

 

No doubts about it, Len is awesome! I love that he's a fairly short drive away and always has what I want. Wish I was funded to help fuel his business and my obsession even more. Win-win. :rockon:

Actually this topic is my "continuing to be shocked" moments.

 

Adams has twice messed up my orders, BUT, one simple (literally 30 sec to 1 min) call to Ashley and they had the original product sent to me within that day AND let me keep the product they accidentally sent to me!!

 

I couldn't believe how fast and great their customer service is, I've always heard, but never experienced first hand.

 

 

These incidents have single handedly signed me on to be Adams for life.

I think you saw growing pains. I got a box that was ill packaged, and sent an email to Adam. Nothing was broken, but I knew it didn't meet his standards of excellence.

 

I've always said to people here at work that it's not the mistake they remember, it's how it's resolved/handled. Adam prides himself on great customer support. It DOES get harder as you get bigger though.

haha!! Right on man! Like you said its nice MOST of the time...sometimes I just want to RELAX!! Shipping costs are really just a minor thing to me when it comes to Adams products but it was still very nice to have that unexpected gift..and that's what it felt like a gift!! :)

 

Do I wish Adams was carried by a store? Sometimes...but then again I'm sure the cost of the actual product would go up as well..Like I said if I need something QUICK Len can have it to me in a day for ground shipping costs since we're only 3 hours away. Here's my rule of thumb break down for the extra income from details, 20% goes to refills and new products :pc: , 20% goes to me for my time and extra spending (usually tools or more product :lol: ) and 60% gets thrown in my savings account to help accelerate a down payment on a house.

I see it like this, I'm young I have some energy and a limited amount of time to get at it and make some extra $ to set up my future! Cause believe me when I get older I know I won't have all the "get up and go" like I do now and when I settle down, have kids :xfingers: That's gonna be it for me for a while. Its just how I am but life will be about them and my marriage no more screwing around tinkering in the garage or blasting down the highway on a motorcycle that shoots fire out the back like I do know! :lolsmack:

Guys Chase called me up one Sunday "Hey I don't know what you're doing but I'm about to try the new quick sealant if you want to swing by and hang out"

After helping him clay the wheels and some other stuff he goes to apply the sealant. Chase: "Man this stuff is sweeeeaat!!! I'm really diggin it!" Me: "Wow it adds a good bit of gloss too! ...I think you secretly work for Adams and are forcing me to spend more and more money!" :lol:

ALL of THAT!! Very true!!

 

Absolute BEST part..is by FAR seeing peoples reactions when they get their cars back! BEST THING EVER!

 

And don't count out a paint correction...my brother who owns his own business in dental work wanted to trade in his black G35 coupe for a luxury SUV for his wife (good dude to give up a sporty 2 door manual for his woman)....before detail $20k..after detail $23k! This was only a few weeks later and he and I both like to think the detail job I did made the trade-in value just a little bit higher :D
