Dan@Adams
I just realized I never updated my original thread in the Cars section once I got the supercharger and associated parts on the car last year, so rather than bumping an old thread, here's a new one. A bunch of parts for the supercharger build-up: The TVS1900: Lingenfelter fuel pump kit: Adjustable clutch master cylinder: SCSS lowered poly engine mounts, got the transmission mount too, but it's not pictured: GM LS9 ZR1 cam: Russell braided fuel line (factory fuel rail cover was cutting into the oem rubber line): ARP stainless header bolts: Harrop diff cover: SCSS triple a-pillar pod with custom boost and fuel pressure gauges, and Innovate air/fuel: Magnuson C5 Vette heat exchanger, this will make more sense in the next post:

Dan@Adams
More... RPS twin disc clutch: New slave cylinder: Engine out of the car, at 1st Try Engineering. I simply did not have time to do all of this work with my travel schedule for work. Cam installed, blower on, twin disc clutch in: Engine and trans back in, heat exchanger mounted to the front crash bar: Harrop diff cover installed: Finished engine bay, with Duspeed over-the-radiator air intake from Australia (this is why I had to run the heat exchanger down low): GForce 1320 billet axle stubs: GForce 1320 anti-wheel hop axles: GForce 1320 carbon fiber driveshaft installed:
Dan@Adams
More...lol... Titanium lug nuts to cover up the extended ARP wheel studs: Old custom Magnaflow catback off... ...can only mean one thing. New 3" Kooks Street Screamer with catless mids Interior stuff... Pioneer head unit...wanted an ipod hookup since the GTO didn't come with one. Pulled out a bunch of interior parts... Including the steering wheel and airbag: And the HVAC controls: Added some white LED footwell lights, door lights, map light, and Lloyd's floor mats and trunk mat, for shows only: The reason I pulled all the interior parts out... Before, all green buttons:
Dan@Adams
After, white LED buttons, blue LCD screens on the gauge cluster: White keyring light and Mode/Set buttons: The screens actually look this shade of blue in person, hard to capture it with the right exposure settings on the camera: Custom boot-up screen on the Pioneer: Color changing needles on speedo and tach from white to blue as speed and rpm increase. Not a mod to the car, but a sweet new garage floor Sorry for the overflow of pictures. Hope you enjoy some of them. I love this car!
08G8V8
Wow, very impressive mods! That car is a beast now! I did some similar mods over the past year on the G8....TVS1900, dod-delete cam, duel fuel pump system, gauges.
Dan@Adams
She's a beast Dan! Glad you're sharing the progress with everyone here. Thanks man, I like sharing pictures of the car because of how much hard work I've put into it slowly building it up over the last six years. I guess I'm just a bit obsessed, hahaha. Wow, very impressive mods! That car is a beast now! I did some similar mods over the past year on the G8....TVS1900, dod-delete cam, duel fuel pump system, gauges. Yep, I love the 1900. Simply awesome G8 you have there too!
AZGTO
Wow...impressive build! How many miles were on it before the TVS? Stock 243's still? Did you change out the lifters or oil pump as well? That intake is impressive, wonder how it compares to the svede Probably 15k+ into that build
Wardo
Wow that intake just jumped to my all time favorite. Really digging your taste in mods. What did the lighting run for the clusters and such for the interior?
Sizzle Chest
Very very nice GTO! Impressive list of mods. Looks like you thought it out and really did a great job. Love the diff cover and axles--beautiful! That intake as Wardo said is great! I love it! Keep us posted on everything! (How's she drive/how's the power with the TVS?) Dan@Adams
Wow...impressive build! How many miles were on it before the TVS? Stock 243's still? Did you change out the lifters or oil pump as well? That intake is impressive, wonder how it compares to the svede Probably 15k+ into that build 36,000 miles on it before the blower, now it's almost at 40,000 miles. Yep, still the completely stock 243's, stock lifters, and stock oil pump, at least for now. I did install PRC dual valve springs and Comp hardened pushrods though All the aussie guys seem to love the duspeed intake, and it keeps intake temps nice and cool. We weren't even seeing much heat soak in between dyno runs. $14k into the supercharger build...but who's counting? $3500 into the Wilwood big brake kit with custom blue powdercoated calipers/high temp brake fluid/ARP wheel studs/stainless lines. Over $2k in Maverick Man Carbon fiber parts. The list goes on. This car is basically my only hobby, no wife, no girlfriend. lol. Wow that intake just jumped to my all time favorite. Really digging your taste in mods. What did the lighting run for the clusters and such for the interior? Gauge cluster modification was $125, all of the other buttons were $5-$20 each. All prices are up on westcoastspeed.com. I also have some stainless illuminated door sill plates from them that I still need to install and wire up. I'll be sure to post some pics when I finish it. Very very nice GTO! Impressive list of mods. Looks like you thought it out and really did a great job. Love the diff cover and axles--beautiful! That intake as Wardo said is great! I love it! Keep us posted on everything! (How's she drive/how's the power with the TVS?) Thanks! That's only part of the list, didn't mention suspension/brakes/appearance, etc The car drives great, but a bit rough to some, with how firm I have the Xa coilovers and Hotchkis bars set. The 1-piece carbon driveshaft combined with the MGW shifter, and poly engine and trans mounts drives so much better than the rubbery 2-piece factory driveshaft...no slop in the driveline and it just feels better, hard to describe. As for power, it put down 539rwhp and 521ft-lbs at 7psi on a conservative tune.
Dan@Adams
sick build!!! if you ever get tired of it, i would totally buy it from you Thanks, but I don't even plan on selling this car. It means way too much to me and I have way too much money into it! haha. I would never be able to sell it for nearly the amount I have invested into it, but I never expected to anyway. My fav IBM GTO out there. Can't wait to see how it looks this year up at GM Nationals. Thanks man, that means a lot. I'll be there! Nice mods on an awesome GTO. Nice ride you have there too, I almost bought a G8 GT as my daily driver That car is INSANE!!! Yes, I'm yelling....INSANE! With the new floor you can easily clean up all the :drool: from me & everyone else. Yeah, the main purpose of the floor was for me to be able to sit down on it while detailing instead of cold concrete, but yeah, I got it for looks too
LDM
Nice ride you have there too, I almost bought a G8 GT as my daily driver Thanks. My mods list isn't quite as long as yours yet but I'm working on it. Right now I need to install the giant pile of suspension parts sitting in my basement. Dan@Adams
HOLY COW! That's hot! WHY THANK YOU!!!! Wow Dan, very very nice! Did you do the work yourself?BTW did you hit the lottery? I've done just about everything on the car with the help from some awesome friends in the PGH GTO crew, with the exception of pressing in the Pedders bushings and installing the hotchkis bars, installing the cam/supercharger/diff cover/axles, and all of the paint work I've had done on the car. My friends and I installed the Xa coilovers, Wilwood big brake kit, Kooks headers, driveshaft, HID headlights, Pioneer head unit, and steering wheel control module. I let the dealership install the ARP wheel studs since they charged next to nothing and I knew it would be a headache. I installed all of the carbon fiber pieces, 4-point harness, all of the interior lighting, LED fog lights, and most of the catback. A shop in Morgantown rolled the rear quarter panel lips, resprayed and cleared the rear quarters, and a shop in Connellsville painted and installed the Sport Appearance Package front fascia extension and rocker panels, as well as repainting the hood and front bumper and blending into the fenders. I didn't win the lottery, but I'm fortunate to have a decent paying job and no other expenses other than the home mortgage and bills. TBSS was bought from my neighbor for a steal, with 1462 miles on it, with an unexpected inheritance, and the GTO is paid off too. Nice GTO!!! Thanks! Very nice. I still love your car. I wish I had your G8 too man. looks like you read my mind in mods i would have if i had a goat! my friend has a blue goat as well, but not the same power as yours haha great work man! Thanks. I love the Clarkson quote in your signature, haha!
