Adam's Checklist for 6 weeks away from Home

i leave to go work my new assignment in Midland, TX in about a week. i'm driving the truck since i'll be there for about 6 weeks. my company got me temporary housing while we wait on our house to get done.

 

so what things do you think i need for the 6 weeks i'm gone to keep my truck looking good? here's what i got so far:

2x Great White Drying Towels

2x WW towels

2x Single Soft Towels

1x Glass Towel

2x Edgeless Utility Towels

Wheel and Fender brushes

1x bucket w/ grit guard

1x wash pad

16oz Car Shampoo

36oz APC

Car Shampoo/water mix w/ foaming sprayer (for wheels)

Glass Cleaner

WW

DS

UCS

SVRT w/ pro tire applicator

QS w/ americana applicator

 

i'm only going to be able to wash the truck at a coin op wash place since i'll be in an apartment, and only have enough space for whatever i can fit inside 1 bucket and my red Adam's detailer bag. the exterior and engine was detailed 2 weekends ago with MSS as my LSP, and i'm going to detail the interior tomorrow so the leather has a fresh application of Leather Conditioner.

You definitly need 2 buckets and 2 wash pads. One for the top part of the truck and one for the botton...

i have that, but i don't think i have room for it, so i'm planning on 1 but if it turns out i have room for 2, i'll toss it in there. trying to fit everything i need for 6 weeks while keeping the bed cover down during the trip

List looks good, only thing I would add is, whatever amount of detail spray you are currently thinking of bringing, double it!

More waterless wash towels! I can barely seem to make it through my mustang with using 2 towels and they are fairly soaked when I'm done.

When my garaged queened Charger is done with WW, it takes a solid 4-5 WW towels. I think only 2 would be a big risk. Take at least double that.

i don't plan on waterless washing the truck. it sits outside so the paint will get too dirty to waterless wash. it gets really windy and dusty there sometimes. i like to use the WW towels on the door jambs and the WW to pre treat those little cracks and crevices around the truck that hold dirt, before i wash it, like the side moldings, mirrors, and tailgate handle.

 

looks like i'm just going to have to make room for my 2 bucket caddy contraption too!
