bobbagels
hello hello, Just a quick noob question here, do you tape the seams from ,lets say, the door to fender, hood to top fender, trunk lid to rear panels. ya know, where there are the gaps between panels where there is a space? BlueGenCoupe
You could. Some people do just because wax builds up in the seams. Places like the door and fender can be wiped up, but area where the rear fender meets the bumper its hard.
mc2hill
I would try a section without taping first. If you are not using too much product you should be ok. I only tape the trim, rubber weatherstripping, and washer nozzles.
07RS4
Tape anything you don't want to clean up at a later date. One dot of hard to reach dried polish on a black vehicle will stand out like a sore thumb, even from a good distance. I disagree with most on here, I think a good tape job is essential. Chewy
I don't tape gaps... I tape bright work that I don't want scratched and plastic I don't want covered in white residue. Other than that I let it go.
