Question

Posted

I have been using a PC 7424 for 5+ years, I have done more with it than I ever thought I could.

I pulled the trigger on a Flex recently, along with my first Adam's polishes.

First impression of the machine, it is a BEAST!

Heavy, powerful, loud, & awkward.

That being said after a just little time with it, I have started to feel more comfortable with it. Last Sunday I did the hood & trunk on a Lexus, as I wanted to start out on a flat surface with it. Yesterday I used it on an '02 Camaro SS convertible.

I have the 4" Focus Pad set up on my PC now, I plan to primarily use the Flex. I'm looking forward to working on something that I can take more time on & further test drive the Flex.

I understand there is a learning curve of sorts with the Adam's polishes. I have watched several videos & even rewatched a few yesterday while I took a break from polishing. I tried to copy the polish application as closely as possible & didn't have any dusting issues. I may have worked the polish too thin/too long in spots. I wasn't going for 100% correction on the car I did yesterday & am happy with the way it turned out. I had some pretty deep and nasty looking damage in a few spots that I was able to easily correct with the flex & green pad/polish combo. That was a big positive!!!

I just wanted to share a few thoughts from a new user.

Thanks to the staff & all of the members, this is a great forum!

So, you kike the way the flex corrects, faster and more "damage" being taken out with time spent compared to PC?

How is the "smoothness" of machine compared to PC, I hear it is much less fatiging on arms and hands othe maybe the part of keeping it "stable" as it want to walk.

Yeah, it really will get down and work faster than a PC.

It is smoother, that is nice. I did notice that going from 5 to 6 makes a big difference on the vibration.

It isn't as comfortable in my hands as the PC, but it isn't anything that I won't get used to. My hands/arms aren't sore at all today...

I bought a flex a few months back and I used it for the first time. I don't see how I ever managed without this thing. Its awesome. Its a little heavier but it balances itself out nicely. Its faster than a PC and has alot less vibration. The PC is a great tool but it just feels awkward in my hands and it vibrates alot. There's no doubt about it that th Flex is the ultimate paint correcting machine IMHO.

Very nice min-review. I think I am going to finally jump over to the Flex side of the house after my upcoming deployment.
