Yeah, I know.........isn't fair. But give me a break! I've been cutting grass, enjoying the Vette, got the fountain working again, etc., etc., etc.

And now this?? :eek::eek::eek:

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...

* LOCATIONS...NORTHERN AND WESTERN MOUNTAINS OF PENNSYLVANIA... INCLUDING THE LAUREL HIGHLANDS.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW...ACCOMPANIED BY INCREASING NORTHWEST WINDS LATE TONIGHT AND MONDAY.

* ACCUMULATIONS...8 INCHES OR MORE ACROSS MUCH OF THE WATCH AREA...WITH OVER ONE FOOT POSSIBLE ACROSS SOME OF THE HIGHER TERRAIN.

* TIMING...SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS TRAVEL FROM PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW AND POOR VISIBILITY. THERE IS GREAT POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD TREE DAMAGE. THE FALLING TREES AND LIMBS WOULD THEN CAUSE WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. ANY POWER OUTAGES THAT OCCUR IN RURAL LOCATIONS COULD BE LENGTHY.

* WINDS...NORTH TO NORTHEAST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH SUNDAY NIGHT...INCREASING TO 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH MONDAY.

* TEMPERATURES...30 TO 35 DEGREES.

* VISIBILITIES...BELOW ONE HALF OF A MILE AT TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW...SLEET...OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL. IN ADDITIONAL...SINCE MANY TREES ALREADY CONTAIN NEAR FULL-FOLIAGE... THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR MANY DOWNED TREES AND NUMEROUS POWER OUTAGES FROM THE COMBINED EFFECT OF THE HEAVY WET SNOW AND WIND. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR YOUR FAVORITE SOURCE OF WEATHER

Haha I saw this earlier on the news. Sucks for you guys, bad.

But I read that depending on some conditions it may end up just being all rain.

I grew up in Buffalo, and the map right there was typical of April my entire childhood. But it seemed that the last decade or so, the snow fall has been alot less. I graduated in '94, and we had plenty of snow days in April. And like I tell all the youngsters these days, just because your from the snowbelt, doesn't mean you LIKE it! haha

So far, it's not too bad, but the worst is still to come. It's bad west of us and north of us, but it's light here. Here's hoping it stays that way. The snow that did come down so far is heavy and wet and with the leaves on the trees they're really bending. More snow could really bring the trees down. And now the wind is picking up big time. So hopefully it will blow the snow off the trees. Weird thing is that tomorrow they're calling for rain.

What a mess.

Oh wow! This stinks!

I can't imagine it here right now. I've cut the grass several times and it's green and lush.

Only supposed to be 61º today, but tomorrow and Wednesday we're looking at 70º+.

I guess your snow blower comes out one more time huh?

Chris
