More de-chroming the Raptor...this time on the interior

Bolstered by my first attempt at PlastiDip

I decided to take on a new project today. The chrome bezels around the shifter and cupholder. Yeah... I know... the shifter still has chrome on it. I need to figure out what to do with that.

Anyway... on to the pics!

Oh... I did the mirror reflectors, too.

After an alcohol wipe we were ready to go!

Here's a progress pic.

And installed.

As always, cheers AND jeers are encouraged.

Thanks Michael! Any ideas on what to do with the chrome parts on the shifter? I could take it apart, but I think I need something more durable than platstidip or paint.

I wonder if I could get all of those trim pieces wrapped in vinyl?

It baffles me that Ford deletes the chrome for about half of the interior parts, but doesn't complete the job. The door handles are still chrome... the shifter.... shifter buttons... these trim pieces.

It's odd.

You did a great job, looks factory. But I gotta say, I like my interior a little dressed up with trim pieces, if not it makes it look like a base model to me. But hey, to each his own, lol! Nice ride, bet its a blast to drive!

You did the exact same thing I did. I removed the chrome bezels and Plastidipped them as well. I'm going on 6 months with no fading/peeling. And even if they do, it costs about $.25 in product to hit it with multiple coats, so I can continue to do it cost effectively.

*Edit* Here is what I did. Almost the exact same thing. Now I also need to find something for the Chrome on the shifter [or just get an aftermarket one].
