Cleaning Headliners?

Hey guys I have an '06 chevy colorado and the previous owner smoked in it and the headliner shows it badly. I was thinking about using the carpet & upholstery cleaner with a soft brush but I was not sure if it may damage or leave spots on the headliner

Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner, Adam's Leather & Interior Cleaning Brush, and a low nap MF...preferably a blue or white towel to see what dirt you pull from the headliner. Spray the Carpet and Upholstery, let dwell a minute, work with brush and then lightly wipe with a damp MF.

I don't use any chemicals. I just use a brush and a vacuum.

If they are filthy as yours is, your're going to have to use something to break up the dirt and grime. I agree though, the vacuum and brush method is great for a headliner thats well maintained.
