undercarriage question

DemoN

Question

I'd like some thoughts on getting frame and suspension under my bed looking pretty good without really having to airing it up, crawling under, and polishing everything by hand.

That's my undercarriage. you can see some through the tub holes in the bed and, at times, some guys will get down on the ground to look under her...and i'd like it to be able to spray it down, with something besides simple green, to make it look nice lol.

Its gonna need to get a good hand cleaning at least 1x to give you a starting point... from there something as simple as a rinse and dressing will be enough to keep it looking good.

or just roll so low full time it'll never matter :D

this thing airs out on me, you're gonna feel bad. :loser:

More info please, though. i WILL be doing a good cleaning (and taking pics of course) but after that, i was hoping i could do something like spray it down with Adam's All Purpose Cleaner and just rinse off.

I'm not looking for a shine that will cause a paradox or anything...just something that will look better decent without requiring hands-on every time.

Remember...my current "detailing experience" is taking the truck to the nearest car wash, spraying and scrubbing it down, and then use the best local wax i can find to protect it. :help:I'm ALL OVER this site learning everything i can and this was an area i didn't really see addressed (mainly cuz i don't think most worry about it).

can't you put blocks over the axle as insurance against it airing down on you before you use it to do bench presses? :D

the initial cleaning, you'll want to get under there with a combination of things... waterless wash or detail spray and some scrap towels to wipe everything down. Might need a brush and APC to address some of the nastier/greasier parts.

after that just using APC and/or car wash to soak and rinse will keep you looking decent. Ideally you could hit the 'pay and spray' every so often and use their long brush while the truck is aired up to scrub under there.
