Wrong product

Has anyone ever accidently put swirl and haze remover onto their dash or seats. I was cleaning the inside of my car today and grabbed swirl and haze remover because saw orange and applied it all over my dash, then about half way through I thought it looked really funky and realized i put the wrong product on my dash.

 

Luckily some LIT cleaned it up, but i was scared I killed my dash for a second.

This is where being colorblind comes in handy. I have to read the label!

I've already confused brilliant glaze with super vrt. I caught myself as soon as I applied the BG to my tire foam blocks. Bottle and product color are very similar, now I read the label first.

I almost did this one day but I noticed a soon as it came out of the bottle. Old revive is the one I am worried about.

I've done this as well.

 

To avoid this from happening again, and to also save you time looking for a particular product, grab a black marker and label the top portion of the bottles with the initials. I got tired of grabbing 2-3 bottles before actually getting the one I was looking for.

I write "LEATHER" on the top of the leather conditioner bottle with a Sharpie and "SHR" on the Swirl and Haze Remover. Plus I keep them on separate ends of the shelf.

Yep ..Put swirl & haze all over my seat once .. DOH!!

Now I make sure what I have in my hand says leather conditioner.

Here's an example of my labeling in one of my storage cases. You can tell there is no view of the actual labels on the side so this is the easiest way to make sure I'm grabbing the right stuff.

Just posted about that last week I think. I did the same thing. Thought I had the Leather Cond.. and really had the SHR.

It was hurry up and clean it off and redo it. Luckily it worked out good. But had me worried for a minute.

I have my cabinet set up where my interior products are on the top shelf, and my exterior products are on the second shelf.

Yeah I just grabbed my container full of products and just saw orange and went at it. Haha.
