dipolley Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I wanted my 1,000th post to be something with a bit of substance. And after seeing Paul’s (sportredmistress) post, I was inspired. http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/lounge/16675.htm) I have been on the forums now for over 3 years. I met Adam at a detail clinic shortly after his move to Colorado. In that time I have grown to really love this little community of detailing nuts we have here. I spend more time on this forum than I probably should at times. I get withdrawals when the server is down and even at 2 AM there is someone here. This is a great place with wonderful people. Unlike other forums, the folks here are kind, helpful, and nurturing. The veteran forum members are always helpful to the newbs (an oddity on most online forums which adds to the greatness of this site). We all share a passion for our cars, for detailing, doing our best, and for this small little company in Colorado. I have met some wonderful people; Adam’s team members, several forum members, and many other detailers that I keep in touch with. All great people whose company and knowledge I truly enjoy. Adam was one of the few people that really encouraged me to go into business for myself and supported me and put me in a position to succeed. He truly went above and beyond, as does the rest of the Adam’s Team every day. When I had all the family tradegies last year and all other crap events, you guys were wonderful for helping me with you well wishes, prayers, and keeping me sane. It has been my pleasure and privilege to know and work with so many of you. I am truly grateful for Adam’s Polishes, the Adam’s Team, and all of you on AF for helping make me a success. I look forward to the next 3 years and the next 1,000 posts. Ok I’m done being sentimental. Gonna go watch Transformers now or something. Dave
Doug123 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Right back at ya, Dave - Sometime life is really tough, and some of the hard times (like losses of people) slam us, but slowly, slowly, we heal, and come out from under a lot of this stuff. The pain goes, but the memories of the people (esp. the good times) stay with us... and the people on this forum are good people, a lot of kindness here... Congrats on the 1k mark - how time flies, eh?
Marylander Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Just 1000 posts in 3 years? Come on, man, you're not trying hard enough! Great post. the people here truly make it what it is, and you are a part of that. Here's to the next 1000.
Mongosg8 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Congrats!! I only can wish to hit 1000. should've already considering I was a member since 09 but the site was blocked due to fire wall changes from the network dept. I have found out that everyone is very helpful to others. Been doing detailing on the side for over 15 years but I learn something new on the Adams forum almost every month. Great products & great people makes a happy Mongo!
Chris@Adams Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Congrats David, We try to make this a nice place to learn & spend some time.
