davidg
I've had the Canon 50mm 1.8 on my wish list for a few months now. Finally broke down and got one. Any feedback is welcome. All photos were taken on manual settings from a 1000d/xs so I know they can be more crisp. I'll be the first to admit I am not great with photos. First photos are 5 minutes before the rain started. It's why that are so dark. There is also a tree over the front half of the car.

davidg
Thanks guys. Still trying to figure it out. I'll be there one day....Moar practice! Buying an adapter to use older canon lenses soon so I can pick them up dirt cheap from Ebay. Photos are a lot easier and cheaper to shoot then my handgun hobby. Team Adam's
Not bad for the good ol' nifty fifty! I had one for about 3 months...and sold it to get the 1.4.
davidg
I just don't take enough photos to justify the extra 200 on one. Wanted a good, crisp, inexpensive lens to play with. Next will be a Sigma prime wide angle. Probably 28mm, Which they claim is macro even though it's slightly over 1.1 ratios. Enough for me, photos are a hobby just like detailing. Can't afford to go all in on two things in a year.
