K3RMiTdot Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Ive been reading mixed reviews of the longevity of the in and out spray, some like it some dont as with all products... Anyone want to tell me how many washes before it fades and a new coat has to be applied?? ive never used it, but i have purchased it.
DTrem13 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I personally apply it every time I wash my car. But I only use it on my grill, and the grill gets hit with all the dust in the air and grime from the road. So I'd say that's necessary.
SLOWpoke Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 InO is great for inside the interior and engine compartment!! As far as lasting on the exterior the parts I'd go to lengths on with SVRT I think would benefit much more greatly than some InO spray..All being said I personally love the stuff for what I use it for!
BlueGenCoupe Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I find it might last a wash, if your lucky. Like mentioned above, SVRT is best used on the exterior plastic. InO is good for grills and hard to reach areas
PacificNWBuckeye Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 With all the rain around here right now my application only made it about two weeks. The SVRT on the tires is still going strong though, that's going on everything next time.
DaveVY Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 My experience is that the In And Out spray longevity is mostly impacted by weather/environmental factors. In the engine compartment I find it lasts for weeks in making things look "finished". On exterior applications it will last maybe a week or two in the hot florida sun if the car is outside all day, every day. If the car is garage kept at home and in a parking garage at work then the exterior applications seem to last 2-4 weeks, depending on how much rain it sees. I agree the SVRT lasts much longer, so whenever possible I use the SVRT and just the the In And Out in difficult to reach places (grills, cowlings, engine compartment small areas, etc).
Chewy Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I&O has its place. I think many use it incorrectly. It's really designed for hard to apply areas. SVRT will ALWAYS outlast it. I use it on my hex grill and other hard to hit areas. I get a wash out of it, unless it's rained.
gencoupe3dot8 Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Might try layering it with QS.... I need to run a trial on this with SVRT too... I was in a rush last time I did my Genny and I didn't layer it with QS. I uses In&Out on my grill where trying to use SVRT would take ~30-45 minutes...
Green Machine Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Mike you took the words right out of my mouth! The quick sealant might be the key!
gencoupe3dot8 Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I noticed my SVRT is running (no QS).. been one or two good rains in a little over a week... I NEED a solution to this... I have a few various items under test....
