Team Adam's Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Anyone ever tried something like this on their Master Blaster or leaf blower? Seems kind of gimmicky to be honest. Horrible idea, especially when you consider how closely they're showing you have to hold that to the paint for it to work.. Eeek!
07RS4 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 lol yeah this thing is LOUD. its super load around the honeycomb on the back and below the headlights. You know what works man..no joke Black electrical tape. Duct tape didnt hold, RTV didnt hold and neither did a pipe clamp. I was fed up and went to my tool bag and hit it with electrical tape. 3 months and its holding together perfectly. I wrapped it alot about 4" down on the hose and back up to the top of where the hose screws into the nozzle. Wraped it 3+ times. Sense its black and i took my time wrapping it its almost un noticeable and doesnt look like a "tape job" I'll have to try your Joisy engineering I was going to tape them, but didn't think it would work well. But since you find it works, I'll give it a go....
3PedalMINI Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Yeah, you should see me outside with my big ear defenders on when I'm using that thing...you hit the lug nut holes at the wrong angle and you will be deaf inside 30 sec I think I will get the sidekick next sale, simply for the convienence....The blaster is nice, but like I told you before, those stupid hoses keep inscrewing from the connectors. I need one long 30 ft hose, or just throw some RTV in the connectors. lol yeah this thing is LOUD. its super load around the honeycomb on the back and below the headlights. 07RS4 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Good Point! you are bound to knock something with the little blaster sooner then later if your using it to blow off your car. I now have both, the master blaster is amaizing. But after playing around with Anothony Onorato's little Sidekick when he helped me a few weeks back i bought one. It is nice to get the last of the drips once the MB is put away. An extension cord is alot lighter then the MB hose I just have both because I can and i got a good deal on the little guy...the MB is just plain awesome though. as a bonus the looks you get from neighbors and people walking by are worth the cost alone Yeah, you should see me outside with my big ear defenders on when I'm using that thing...you hit the lug nut holes at the wrong angle and you will be deaf inside 30 sec I think I will get the sidekick next sale, simply for the convienence....The blaster is nice, but like I told you before, those stupid hoses keep inscrewing from the connectors. 3PedalMINI Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Within a few inches of the paint, but you have to figuire, you have one concentrated stream, so you don't have to. Plus you not wielding a 2ft long sword spewing air in your hands. Guaranteed you will bump something on your car that you don't want to with that thing. 07RS4 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 How close do you hold the Sidekick or the Master Blaster to the paint? 3PedalMINI Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 How close do you hold the Sidekick or the Master Blaster to the paint? side kick is pretty close, the master blaster is a good 8-12" away staying horizontal with the surface at a pretty steep angle.
Jasssc Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Master Blaster - Will blow the feathers off a chicken at 200 yards (haven't tested this ) Eagerly waiting for the video on this one!

Chris@Adams Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 If you can afford the Master Blaster, I say go for it you will not be sorry! I bought mine about 5 yrs. ago and never looked back, very satisfied!!

Mato Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I have both units and each serve there own purpose... If I had to choose one (even with the price difference), I would go with the Master Blaster. For me, it's much more versatile.
BlueGenCoupe Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Sidekick - Good for cracks and crevices. Can dry an entire car IF the wax/sealant coat is fresh and a sheet rinse is done first. Also saves a ton of garage space as it is VERY compact. Master Blaster - Will blow the feathers off a chicken at 200 yards (haven't tested this ) Super powerful... will pretty much dry even a large vehicle without a sheet rinse or fresh wax coat, but it is very large. What Dylan said. the side kick will not dry your car. If your looking for a dryer, spend the extra money and invest in the master blaster

J Tegeler Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I use the sidekick and I can dry the entire car with it after a good sheet rinse! Just used it not even an hour ago
Chewy Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Any one of the three are AWESOME! Once you use the vacuum as a vacuum, I suggest NOT using it as a blower due to the dirt built up in the hose. I have a small SK JR and LOVE it. SUPER powerful and VERY portable. Chris
