Sour cream etching?

Was talking to a girl i work with about detailing. She asked me if sour cream would come out? Confused I asked what do you mean. She said a few months ago someone threw a cup of sour cream at her car. As soon as she could she washed it but it seems to be etched into the clear coat.

 

This should come out with clay and SHR right?

Most likely yes, try fine machine polish first, or even Revive. Depends on long the acids in Sour Cream were eating up the clear coat, as to how much of it you can remove.

I would try Revive first.
