Sorry for stupid question but for passes would you be meaning addin more product and going over it again till it flashes? So if I were to say I did 2 passes of shr it would be going over twice with more shr on it?

When I say "pass," I mean working polish until it flashes. I can refresh with DS without adding more polish and work that until it flashes. That would be another "pass." Maybe the easiest way to think of a pass ending is any time you turn the polisher off.

I think the term 'pass' is used for two things:

  • section pass - number of side-to-side and up-and-down motions until the product flashes
  • product pass - working the entire section (panel or whole car) with a polish
