Mine don't move, I have the new Adam's 5gal. buckets.

As a matter of fact, I didn't have a problem with my old buckets either.

5 Gallon Bucket? I must be looking in the wrong place unless it the one for $59.95. Just can't find it. I have six of the regular ones but want to get two of the 5 gal ones.

I have the same problem and it just frustrates me. I'll spend 5 mintes wrestling with the bucket and hose trying to get that last bit of dirty water out of the bucket!!!! I end up wet, get water on the car/truck.....

At least for today. ;)

Hahaha... No problem! I've been using these buckets for a few seasons now and I forget to do the sealant fix EVERYTIME! :willy: Every time I rinse them out they peeve me off!

I also need to put a bead of caulk around the top lid mount. I hate that I can NEVER get all the water out of the buckets because it gets trapped in the lip.

I would just hold it still with one hand and scrub the pad on it with the other.

God, I don't know how you put up with that....what a PITA:willy:

I like this idea. My "dirty" bucket the grit guard fits snug I can dump the bucket out and the grit guard doesnt move at all, but my "clean" bucket the grit guard moves freely. I now know what I will be doing before my next wash

Yeah, mine are Adams everything and they haven't fit since day one.

They have to be different sizes...meaning thousands of an inch Chris. I'm sure the plastic molds aren't that precise...because mine spin like 22" dub spinner's:lol: if I didn't have the caddy's. :) When I put my wash media in the bucket, I twist instead of a back and forth movement, and the spinning is no bueno.

:iagree:

I use the zip ties also! Here is what it looks like with the zip ties on the grit guard.

Another idea that others use is to tighten the thumb screws in the bucket caddy to squeeze the bucket so the grit guard doesn't move.

This grit guard still moves around a bit, but this guard is in my soap bucket where if it moves around a little bit more I don't care as much.

This is what I did! :2thumbs:

^^^Great ideas.....

The caddies will prevent it from moving and/or floating. The thumb screws are directly in line with the grit guard. Tighten them down in between the braces on the grit guard and it won't budge....like Matt already said.

I use large zip ties at 90 degree locations around the outside of the grit guard. I put the locks out since I needed them to take up more space.
