Hi!

My name is AJ, and I'm an Adam's addict...

I've spent the past week or so reading all through the forum and watching all the videos. I just want to say that the Adam's community is top notch! I have been impressed with the help, knowledge, and responsiveness from the members. Keep it up! I honestly haven't tried the products yet, but I realized I couldn't go wrong with a group like this supporting it!

I'm patiently awaiting my order to arrive this week to correct my new baby. A couple weeks ago I picked up a black '06 Cadillac CTS-V from an older gentleman that had the car as his Sunday driver. I fell in love the minute I laid eyes on the car! It's 6 years old with 6,100 Sunday miles, and has never seen rain! Unfortunately it looks like he has put it through the full service car wash a few times and could use a little help...

I have a quick question about dust control. She is a black car and attracts dust like crazy her in AZ. What is the best way to beat the dust and clean with out washing? I hear the Cali duster is a not the best bet. This will be my garage kept Sunday driver as well. I'm also new to detailing and a bit of a perfectionist...So this could be really fun for me or a nightmare...Time will tell!

Here is a shot of her rear end! (safe for work) :2thumbs: Just to get an idea of the condition of the car... I'll post some more pictures of before and after the correction.

Thanks in advance for all of the help!

AJ

Welcome AJ!

For the dust, try the Waterless Wash and towels. It can also be used as agent, and can cut down on the static

What a teaser shot! Anyways, :welcomebanner::welcome::welcomebanner:

As for the dust, you can't go wrong with the WW and towel kit, as long as the dust doesn't become too heavy on the vehicle, especially black. Then it's time for a 2 (or 3) bucket wash.

Thanks everyone!!!

Looks like I need to get some waterless wash on the way. I'm interested to see how it cuts the static...It's the primary suspect!

Theis - I live south east of Phoenix in Gilbert, transplanted 12 years ago from PA. What part of Houston are you in? My parents live out there.

Thanks again!
