Green Wheel Cleaner VS 50/50 APC on Stock Wheels?

Question

I ran out of GWC a few weeks back and I've been using 50/50 APC on my wheels as a substitute. Since my wheels aren't anything special, is there much of a difference for me? Can I just keep doing what I'm doing and not worry about GWC? Or should I stop using APC and get more GWC?

Thanks for the help :D

Before Green Wheel cleaner existed, I believe Adam's recommended APC to clean wheels. Just make sure to not let it dry. I also imagine it takes any sealant/wax off of the wheels faster than GWC.

You may consider just using some water with Adam's Car Wash in it in a spray bottle. That's what I do with my wheels after getting them clean with GWC. That is, if they are really dirty, I use GWC, otherwise I just use the soapy water mixture.

This is what I'm doing for now on....to cut time and money.

I want one spray bottle for undercarriage, wheels and tires. I PM'd Dylan yesterday and got the thumbs up that it's totally safe on clear coat. Plus, my theory has always been that with a good wheel brush, as long as it's clear coat safe, any cleaner should work fine for regularly maintained wheel/tires/undercarriage.

Up until a couple of years ago all we used was APC. It'll work great. Just DO NOT let it dry on the wheels.

Another thing I use all the time is the Shampoo mixed with water in a spray bottle. If the wheels aren't that dirty, it works great and is kinder to the finish!

I never though about using car soap & water in a spray bottle. That will probably be even easier to use and a little less aggressive. Thanks for the idea!

When I get the wash bucket ready I scoop 8-16 oz. of out it to reload my sprayer bottle. If you have an extra foaming sprayer that works even better!

If you want to just use car shampoo....use the Gilmour Sudsmaster Gun and just go from wheel to wheel with it. Use it to foam up your undercarriage, wheels and tires. It's alot quicker than using a spray bottle.:2thumbs:
