Tdm26 Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Anybody have any tips on cleaning the wood inserts in BMW's? Looks almost like they have a clear coat or something over them. I have used Leather and Interior cleaner but that seems to leave a thin film...
THE Mook Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Detail Spray or Waterless Wash is what I use on my sister's 335. I also used it on the Interior of Adam's Escalade two days ago. Worked nice.
egott_91 Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 If they have lost some of their luster I would hit it with some revive.
Tdm26 Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 I was thinking about using some Revive. They also look like they have tiny swirl marks in them as well. Thanks for the quick replies.
twb4525 Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 i would hit them with waterless wash, and then revive:cheers:
Odds and Ends Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 If you have swirls, you can use Swirl and Haze by hand, followed by Revive. You're right, there is a coating on them....it's clear coat just like your paint, so treat it the same way. Americana or Buttery is nice when you're done polishing too! Then Detail Spray for maintenance. - Darryl
