I've had my truck for a couple months now, and all the chrome is starting to get to me. Does anyone know if I could get my handles color matched? Not sure if you can paint over chrome?

Call me crazy, but I think the handles being black would really stand out.

First of all, your truck is BEAUTIFUL dude. I mean, NICE!! I actually think the chrome wheels ALONG WITH the door pulls looks fine the way it is. What you just have to be careful with, is if you change one thing......THEN you have to change all the other little stuff with it.

However, I'm sure you could either find someone to paint the door pulls for ya. Or there's gotta be somebody out there that makes covers for them, that you could paint??

All of your cars look amazing so this means a lot to me coming from you. I want a more off road look for my truck though, kind of like your Rubicon . I'm planning on doing a 2inch shackle in the back and then leveling my truck out and of course the biggest tires I can get. But once again thank you for the compliments.

Great looking truck Justin! I like it how it sits, but if you decide to paint them I'm pretty sure you can sand those down and shoot them.

 

GM hasn't used 'real' chrome on a part like that in a LOOOOOOONG time... its typically a painted on faux chrome so it could be sanded down and shot just like any other part.

 

You might also look into ordering them pre-color coded. If theres a Colorado model you know of that comes with the handles color matched already all you'd need is a part number and you could get it thru your dealers parts department.

I know that the Colorado either comes either the black handles or the chrome, I've already looked into that. I'm going to look into getting them painted next week. By the way nice truck. It looks similar to my old one!
