I have about 12, 2 bulb 4' t8's fluorescent lights and about 24 - 60 watt. flood lights (track lights). BTW my garage is 26' x28'.

They do a pretty good job of show any swirls in your paint.

Are you touching the bulbs with your fingers? I know the oils in your fingers will make a halogen go out prematurely.

nope not at all i use gloves so i don't touch them. not sure why they pop so fast.

It may be the gloves. I have always heard to either handle them with a clean paper towel or touch only the porcelain base. If they are accidentally touched they should be cleaned with alcohol then allowed to thoroughly dry before using.

I went to Home Depot and got their dual 1400 watt flood lights on a stand. They sure put out some light! It can also be taken apart for a smaller stand.

Prince i have those already just want something for when my car is parked inside i dont have to move and trip all over them like i do now.

Not sure the wife would like it but you should also mount some on the walls -- at least "waist line" level of your vehicle. My fantasy garage would also have a LIFT!

Where do you purchase your replacements?. A lot of places only carry the 120V versions. If you go to an electrical or electronic supply they'll have the 130V versions which will last a lot longer especially if you have voltage issues at your house.
