Detailed a 2003 M3 SMG

Recommended Posts

Let me start off by saying, the exterior of this car was completly trashed. Rock chips like no tomorrow, scratches(required wet sanding, I didn't touch those..short on time) the guys rear bumper was damaged, paint missing in spots due to side swiping something and whoever waxed this car before me left wax residue on every piece of plastic.

To those of you that have a black car/Truck, I finally know the pain you guys go through. What a pain in the neck.

I finally got to use the new pads and my cart. I must say, im impressed.

My process was as followed.

3 Bucket strip wash - Adams shampoo/APC mix

Engine wash down - APC, Boars hair wheel brush

Clay

SHR

FMP

Spray Sealant

Glaze

Americana

Dressed up tires, trim, wheel wells and engine - In & Out spray, SVRT, Invisible undercarriage spray, block applicator

Interior vacuum

Leather and interior cleaner with the boards hair brush, followed with leather conditioner

Enough of the boaring stuff, here are the pics:

9 years old and 100,000 kms...this is one reason why BMW is so expensive

I've been thinking about hiring someone to sand out my leather?

Or just buying new seats in black, I don't know if it will match my Tan interior though.

Hey Anthony,

That clay was pretty nasty looking! Was that your weekend project for your Dad?

I wonder, how long did it take you to complete?

Nice work....

All day saturday and half day Sunday. The guy picked it up at 4:30 and was amazed. He thought it was a different car!
