Team Adam's Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 With Memorial Day coming, which is a long weekend for most, anyone have a big detail project planned? If not what will you be spending the holiday weekend doing?
Tim Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 UPDATE:: Got the SS yesterday and its FLAWLESS:thumbsup:! I was amazed at how well the did, blended the paint, cleaned it up.. they even buffed the whole thing and its not holograms and swirls.. (I took my super secret yellow lens glasses to inspect it). So since I cant wax it for 30 days I will be doing a Mookfest (Yes buckets of beers till I cant speak)!! Scott, if you need help with the Mookfest, let me know. I'm literally a mile down the road. Ps where did you take the SS? Edit: I fixed it, but my iPad changed Mookfest into kook feast.

ChargerMatt Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Friday night-Detroit's Greektown Casino Saturday-cruising up North to Gladwin to ride the ATV trails. Sunday-no plans yet Monday-BBQ Last time I went to Greektown I came out +$1000. I'm thinking a second trip may be mandatory for this weekend.
DemoN Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 There's a monthly car meet Tomorrow morning (i'll start a thread after i get pics for yall!) and Hell-s1 has been seeing a weeks worth of road grim. so the rides gonna get a little cleaning. i'm thinking simple wash with a once over with MP#2, DS and some BG to shine her up. not a full detail...just something worthy of a car meet.
Kustom_FX Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Getting the SS back from bodyshop Thursday or Friday.. going to go over every square inch that they did not "touch" looking for overspray and what not. Need to finish post winter claying and polishing of it as well. Might install my fender stripes.. then maybe take some Top of the Page worthy pics.. Or I might just drink a lot of beer and bbq and nap like Mook.. we shall see.. UPDATE:: Got the SS yesterday and its FLAWLESS:thumbsup:! LFairbanks Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Taking my kid to a huge air show this weekend. And then may spend the other two days cleaning up moms car. A little BBQ and relax. Big weekends like this I have found it best to just stay home. Hill Air Force Base - WarriorsOverTheWasatch
egott_91 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Well, my detail plans are on hold due to forecasted temps in the upper 90's this weekend...

dipolley Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Please show me on the doll where the bad Mook touched you... Wasn't there an episode of "My Strange Addiction" about this type of behavior?
mc2hill Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Maybe detailing on Saturday - polish on the truck and then try XQZIT's method to remove the polish/glaze from the crow's feet. Sunday: watch the F1 race from Monaco, a littie bit of the French Open on Directv, cookout at the b-i-l's (after stopping for boiled peanuts), and catch some Indy 500. Monday: watch the French open and chilll.
LowNslo Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 My little girl turns one this thursday, we are gonna have a party at the house. I have put the detailing on hault for this weekend its amazing how far we have come in a year. from 4lbs 3 oz to a whopping 22lbs in a year! Growing up too fast!

GaryW Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Please show me on the doll where the bad Mook touched you... Now that is funny... But I guess if you leave the door open..............................
Team Adam's Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Uh... Ya think? Mook... Hidden agenda? Please show me on the doll where the bad Mook touched you...
Chewy Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I need to lay some APW down on the Mazda. This makes 9 washes without a GWT now, thanks to the Master Blaster. The only part needing some love there is the rear area where the lid opens. I may hit that too. Out of context, that could be taken very differently. Uh... Ya think? Mook... Hidden agenda?
jimmyzeet Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I have some severe swirl remover coming via FedEx. Time to fire up the PC and get that hood and trunklid perfect. The orange stuff just can't get some of the tough scratches that I still see.

dipolley Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 We were considering a trip to Deadwood, South Dakota to visit the BAd Lands, Wind Cave, NP, and Devil's Tower but that trip got poo poo'ed due to finanicing (Spending the money on Key West instead so a good choice). I have no clue what we are doing. I should probably get the Vue detailed since I have not touched it since we bought it 3 months ago. The other cars look OK but that one...ugh. She won't stop driving it long enough for me to detail it.

Chewy Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I really need to clean the G8, clean and touch up the correction on the Enclave, and clean my truck this weekend. My problem is finding time between that and working on the house. It's a good problem to have though. Otherwise I have no plans...
Osok Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Planning to detail my buddy's bike...and give my car a good 2 bucket cleanup.
