the1inblue Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 As I mention in my other vehicle mod thread I got my Hurst short shifter and Pioneer In-dash dvd radio with the Metra dash kit installed. Here's a couple of pics, Enjoy! Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
LFairbanks Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Looks nice there Jon. I do have to ask though, is that DVD system set up to where it doesn't work while driving? I just thought that could be a huge distraction for the wrong person. I even thought it may be illegal.
the1inblue Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 Thanks...From the factory it will not play video while in motion. However mine is bypassed to play while driving and it is illegal to drive and watch. I don't watch it however my daughter and gf will on long trips. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
Sizzle Chest Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Looks great! Very nice. How is the shifter? Did it really shorten up the throws?

bhildebrandt Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I have the same Short throw shifter that i installed in my Camaro a month or two ago. It seems to feel a lot more mechanical if that makes sense. A lot harder to shift it into gear if you're revving it high, feels as if i have to put a lot of muscle to pull it into the next gear. The stock shifter felt a lot more loose.
the1inblue Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 Verrrr nice donut holder.. Holds about a half of a dozen Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2

Chris@Adams Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Jon, That looks old school!:burnout:How does the Pioneer sound?
the1inblue Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 Jon, That looks old school!:burnout:How does the Pioneer sound? Thanks Chris! It sounds better than my surround sound at home lol. Looks great, does the Pioneer have NAV ??? Its optional and it's a $300+ module. Alot of reviews say its not that great anyways Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
Adamized Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I'm so jealous of your Camaro! Dash looks stock, which I think was what your going for.
the1inblue Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 That was what I was wanting. Im going to buy a black Hurst ball for the shifter. The best part is that I got all this for half the price. The Hurst shifter was new in the box and the in-dash was only a month old. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
fdresq4 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Verrrr nice donut holder.. I thought you were a firefighter? BTW, Hurst is Old School! I haven't seen one in years but back in high school... Very nice.

MAYBEN Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I put that because that is the true reason Jon bought the shifter.. Easier control of his snacks
