First Adams Purchase!

slicksierra

Question

Posted

Im pretty excited about my first adams purchase I spent a few days researching the best products for me to get started with, what I am looking for pre-correction v.s. products I will use post correction and what I will always need. It also seemed like the best time to buy with $5.00 flat rate shipping and my welcome discount so between those two and the edgeless microfibers on sale I saved around $23 dollars.

My first purchased included a Car Wash Trio with 2 grit guards for my homer buckets, Super VRT Tire & Trim Combo and a 16oz. bottle of Detail Spray. I feel these are the basics of what I need in a detail besides a last step product which will most likely be a small can of Americana next time my check rolls in.

Further into the summer, I plan on purchasing a Porter Cable 7346sp, I am going with that over the popular 7242xp because I can use the sanding capability of the 7346 to knock out some of the rust on my snow plow which needs a restoration. Naturally with the polisher I will need the clay bar kit, the pads and products. I am torn between Brilliant glaze and Quick Sealant before the Americana but I have time to decided which is best for me.

Cant wait to see what Adams is all about!

Congrats on the purchase Matt!

The PC 7424 is the same machine as the 7346, they just come with different

accessories. The plus with buying through Adam's is the 110% guarantee and a LIFETIME warranty on the machine.

Had my first test of my SVRT today... I bought some used oem mirrors for my truck because my aftermarket ones were crap. Stripped the unknown brand trim restore on them with a mist of APC then applied a thin coat of SVRT before install yesterday. Today its showering and my mirrors are beading better than my truck! And no streaking! Love SVRT

I agree, you've got a great start. I would say to add the Revive and Brilliance Glaze to your product list. You will not believe how good your vehicle will look if you do the whole detail process. Start with the wash, a clay bar, Revive, Brilliance, and finally a coat of Americana and you will be saying "Wow" when you look at the result. It's a lot of work and time, but once you do it, you will never regret the effort or the results.

Well I just got last weeks pay check so leggo!

I thought the 7346 had a heavier counter weight for the sanding?

That is true. A new counterweight is about $2.

Dang, I don't know the forum code off hand, one of the members will chime in I'm sure. If you want it know, just PM a mod and I'm sure they will be glad to help you out! I use the military code, I've never used the AF code.

ahhh! Military code!? Too bad im still in ROTC, but in 3 more years I can use that code!

Haha thanks guys, and thank you for the welcome, I feel like a complete member now with my products on order and on the way! All these comments make me even more excited for my order to hit my door step! I already have two summer part time jobs that I work so I guess I better look for a third lolz. I feel like with the sales and discounts I got a lot for my money so I am pretty happy, what is the forum code I can uses every time?

Nice first purchases Matt...you will love them. Be prepared once you recieve them, and use them for the first time to jump on the site that night and order more :) You're doing the right thing by catching the sales, and don't forget, you can use the forum code on every order![/quote]

:iagree:

That is exactly what I did. Got my Swirl & Haze Remover, Revive, Buttery and a couple of applicators. Used them once, then ordered the whole lot for the PC and haven't looked back!
