Marylander Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 4 fake fender vents on the rear bumper? And it's hard to make out in the second pic, but there's more on the front fenders and front bumper. And don't get me started on the red wheels and yellow lower grille (also hard to see... consider yourself lucky).
07RS4 Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Rich are you on crack? That is D-O-P-E...... Bwhahaha, NOT!
ArmyAcadia09 Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 wow, theres a tahoe here that everything below windows is red and top is black and he has 22" red rims that look terrible. One door looks like they hit it with a hammer and the paint looks like multiple running layers ofspray paint
Chuckkilo3 Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Looks fine to the owner I'm sure. Not my taste but who am I to judge?
BlueGenCoupe Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I would love to know this persons reason for putting AIR VENTS on a rear fender...
chas Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Hey I know that intersection! Right next to my office. That's just pitiful, unfortunately there are a ton others rolling around Rockville looking like that.
Marylander Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Hey I know that intersection! Right next to my office. That's just pitiful, unfortunately there are a ton others rolling around Rockville looking like that. That's how we roll up here in r'ville...
JBlack151 Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Rear bumper air vents add 15 hp and improve gas mileage....DUH
Marylander Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Hey I know that intersection! Right next to my office. Chewy Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Honestly, they may have put those vents there to protect the bumper. Sounds stupid, but want to believe it was for a somewhat good reason and not because they thought they looked good. lol
bjoeaull Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Must have been a buy 5 and get one free sale at autozone!

Sounds stupid, but want to believe it was for a somewhat good reason and not because they thought they looked good. lol you have WAY more faith in the ghetto-car enthusiast than i do, my friend. i live in San Antonio, Texas....and seeing random rear air vents on the back bump surprises me exactly ZERO and i know for almost a FACT there is no logical reason to put them there outside the complete lack of TASTE and STYLE.
Chewy Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I've always said that just because they make something to fit your vehicle (tail lights, headlights etc) doesn't mean you HAVE to install them or that they look good. lol Less IS more. Chris
70'sChevyGirl Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I would love to know this persons reason for putting AIR VENTS on a rear fender...:lol:   Me too!!
Team Adam's Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Neighborhood kid works at the local autozone... he tells me that stick on fender vents like those are the most stolen product in the store. Take that for what its worth.

Golf for Life Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I can see why stick on vents are soooooo popular man they just look so cool. Get with it Guy's.

Take that for what its worth. Interesting, but not surprising when you think about it. Cars just don't break down like they used to, so appearance stuff probably sells (and gets stolen) more.
DaveVY Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 And I just figured the owner was trying to make a statement about how awful stick-on vents look on any part of the car! The only good I can see is that they would protect the bumper from light scratches, sorta like having a clear bra to protect the paint ... just not clear...

If you look closely at the first pic you can see the marks from two license plate bolts where someone already hit this guy -- presumably before the vents were put on.
Chewy Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 My G8 has stick IN vents and the Enclave has them on the hood... I guess these peeps are trying to roll like me...
