UV Protectant

Guest newbie

Question

Guest newbie

So I'm looking at the product descriptions for the glazes and sealants and whatnot. Do any of these have UV protection in them? I want to preserve the black look to my paint as long as possible, so I'm looking to keep it protected with something with UV inhibitors in it.

For the paint system I believe the clearcoat provides that protection. The wax or sealant provide a sacrificial layer over the clearcoat to allow it to continue to protect the paint.

The plastic trim and interior do not have the protection of a clearcoat, so the products for those areas - Super VRT and Leather Conditioner do have SPFadditives.

I understand the clear coat has UV protection, but I've read of other products having it too. I want to make sure the protection doesn't wear off. A lot of black cars that look washed out appear kind of blue. I want mine to stay as black as possible.
