Enter With Caution

the car i am about to show you is why you dont use a rotary polisher without knowing how to use it...for those of you with a weak stomach enter with caution...between the paint and interior i threw up in my mouth a little bit when i first saw it...needless to say 11 hours later the owner has a new car....i didnt realize the paint had a little metallic flake in it until i was done...it was probably around 90% corrected by the time i made my passes....really was the biggest challenge ive had so far for a complete detail...this was a true beast to beauty detail even though it is a honda pilot lol

here was the process

-Interior was done first so I wiped down all the door panels and dash with Leather and Interior Cleaner

-Cleaned the inside of the windows with Glass Cleaner

-Dressed the door panels and dash with SVRT

-Swept out the vehicle

-Cleaned floor mats with All Purpose Cleaner

-Sprayed the carpet with Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner and let dwell for 5 minutes. Sprayed with hot water from my Bissell Auto then agitated with capet brush and extracted

-Dressed floor mats with SVRT

-For the outside I started by cleaning the rims with Green Wheel Cleaner and boars hair bush and cleaned the wheels and wheel wells with All Purpose Cleaner

-Foamed the vehicle with a mix of Car Shampoo and All Purpose Cleaner to strip the paint

-2 bucket wash with grit guards with a Car Shampoo and All Purpose Cleaner mix

-Sprayed the engine bay with All Purpose Cleaner and agitated that with the wheel well brush and sprayed it off

-Dried the vehicle with Great White Drying Towel and Detail Spray

-Clayed the vehicle with Adam's clay and Detail Spray as the lubricant

-Did the 3 step polishing with Severe Swirl Remover, Swirl and Haze Remover followed by Fine Machine Polish

-Used the 4" pads on the drill with Swirl and Haze Remover on a few tougher scrathes

-Waterless Wash wipe down to get any remaining polish residue off

-Applied Machine Super Sealant. Wiped off after 45 minutes. 12 hours later did wipe down with Detail Spray

-Topped with Brilliant Glaze

-Dressed the engine bay, tires, and all other plastic trim with SVRT and In and Out Spray

-Sprayed Invisible Undercarriage Spray in the wheel wells

Nice job Derek, complete turn around!

The LGM did a decent job on those thrashed floormats, a professional carpet extractor would have definately been your friend on that interior.

Honestly that is probably the most dramatic turn around that I have seen on the Forum to date, IMHO. That interior looks like you didn't even have to stop for lunch...j/k. That was disgusting. It almost makes me wonder what peoples houses are like if they drive around in stuff like that.

I think I threw up a little in my mouth looking at those before pictures! I'm speechless. I felt like I was looking at pictures of a murder scene or something.

You deserve a round of applause and many cheers for that accomplishment. GREAT GREAT JOB! YOU GET THE SAVE OF THE YEAR AWARD! :D

Seriously... How do people let their things get that bad? It's clear they they're busy parents; too bad they don't seem to be installing a sense of neatness in their kids. :lolsmack:

Holy carp, that interior........What, did they have Saturday morning matinee in there or what? Nice turn around:2thumbs:

thanks...i found enough food on the floor to have one thats for sure

You're a magician!

Did they ever catch whoever vandalized that car?;)

lol thanks and no they are still on the loose

Holy Moly, that has to go down as the worst conditioned vehicle ever posted on adamsforums.com. This thing was trashed inside and out.

Amazing turn around!

How much did you charge this person?

thanks...$200 is what they paid...we started at $160 when we talked over the phone but after seeing it i called back to let them know it was going to need Severe Swirl Remover and would cost more...i think they got a great deal

That interior looks like Big Mike and the Boys from "The Other Guys" movie had a soup kitchen in there. Nice turn around on both interior and especially the exterior.
