What is best on White walls!

I will be cleaning up my dads 62 vette on fathers day and I know the white walls are pretty dirty looking? What's best to use?

some full pwoer APC should clean them up pretty good. If you have a foaming sprayer spray it on there and let it dwell a while

APC rocks rubber... DO NOT let it dry on the wheels though. Like any strong cleaner, it can mess with paint finishes.

I agree, I use APC on my white letter tires every time that I wash it.

The Shine Crew has had excellent success with APC, a Brush, then dress it with SVRT.

I'll add to Mook's input by saying use a fresh applicator for applying the SVRT to the white walls.

 

The dressing itself isn't black, but the vulcanized rubber residues from traditional black wall tires as well as dirty from use. Trying to spread SVRT on white walls with a used app generally just makes a mess so be sure to use a fresh applicator.

Yes you can and they work great, but I'd only do that if the APC and a brush doesn't work. The steel wool can be harsh on the rubber.

My truck tires have white lettering and I use all purpose cleaner and it keeps them looking great of course followed by a coat of SVRT

It's not nearly as good as APC and a brush, finished with SVRT. I know personally it's not. So does the lady at the ACD Museum now too.

I also like powder tide laundry detergent with a semi stiff bristle brush for cleaning white walls and white letters

Once clean, here's a tip for the SVRT so as not to dirty the white walls back up with it's application:

 

I use 70% SVRT - 30% water mixed in a spray bottle. Spray the tires then wipe them to level/spread the product with a clean terry cloth towel. Works so well and using a new applicator each time I dress the white wall tires gets a bit expensive!
