Quick sealant streaks/blotchiness

tp370z

Question

I used the quick sealant on my hood and front end a week ago and I just pulled the car out today and it is all streaky and blotchy. I tried waterless wash and detail spray but that has no effect. I can't get the blotchiness away. Any suggestions. Tks

May have gone a little too heavy on the application or not gotten it completely removed, the other possibility is a little residual polishing residue trapped under the sealant that you may not have noticed ... but no biggie. Easy fix.

You can use Revive as Tegeler suggested, or a wipe down with isporpyl alcohol to remove all the sealant will work.

Once its removed you can reapply to restore the protection.

I had this problem the first few times I used this stuff. On my black car it showd everything. If you have revive give that a try. I now only use it on light vehicles and my wheels

I just detailed the wife's "black" Mercedes. Got done, pulled it out in the sun and on the entire hood I had this same problem. Took Dylan's advice ~ used Revive and took it right off. I put the first coat of quick sealant on and due to the heat in my shop ~ 88 degrees, waited two hours before I put the second coat on. I figured it had to be due to the heat not thoroughly allowing the first coat to dry.
