My guy told me 60 days, but there are variables... Mine's black and sits in direct sun daily at work and in the summer, that's a HOT hood. 30 days is probably more than enough.

 

Not sure what color you have or where you live, but going with what the painter says is always a safe bet. Most say 60-90 days. I think I'll go 30 or so.

When my car was repainted they suggested no wax for at least 30 days to let the paint out gas and to cure. I think that 45 days is probably enough but I believe I would do whatever the painter recommends.

Only way my wife would allow me to get the SHO was if I promised to be buried in it...so I have to take care of it...so I look good when I die! lol

The SHO is on my short list actually! Chevy SS is on top.
