My friend went to a car wash with his car which had water spot stains from the sprinklers. The car wash used some aluminum brightener on the car. They wiped it on, left it on for about 10 seconds, and washed it off. They wiped it dry and my friend said that it looked perfect. They did the windows with the same results. He said it was very easy. The key is making sure that the car is cool and to wipe it off after about ten seconds. Has anyone ever heard of this method?
