Flex 3401 D/A Polisher

KillerB

Question

I recently purchased the flex polisher. I have never used a flex before to compare my question with. I was wondering if the flex handle is supposed to have some play in it. Not the handle with the trigger. The handle up by the pad. I took it out of the box to get familiar with it and noticed that there is about a 1/4 inch play in that handle. Bolts are tight. Curious if this is normal. Thanks

Thanks for your help. I have been in the construction business for 20 years and own truck loads of power tools. I have never had a tool with a handle that had play in it. I'm glad to hear that its part of the design of the tool and that my polisher is not defective. I just don't see what benefit there is to the polisher having play in the handle. Seems like it would feel more solid if the handle was tight. Thanks again for checking your polishers.

Damn Germans!

I'll have to check mine now..... I don't remember play... do you have the handle screwed in? Doesn't the handle hold the end plastic on?
