Marks in my paint from track.

Hey folks glad to be part of this fourm and love Adams products.

 

Please give me some feedback on my problem. I have a Cyber/Grey Z06 Corvette which I take to VIR (Virginia International Raceway) a couple of times a year and do HPDEs. Before I have not had much trouble with the front getting marked up but this last time I did. I have quite a few marks which do not appear to be chips in the paint but marks through the clearcoat. Will claying take those out or will something else work.

 

From now on I will use painter tape and get a front guard. Hindsite is always 20/20.

Hey Ken, pictures would be HUGE in helping us help you...

 

Also, they make a temporary clear bra that you roll out and stick on your car. I'd suggest that over painters tape which can/will leave a residue.

I will take some pictures but not sure the marks will show up very well. You can feel them when you run your fingers across them.

Plasti-Dip makes a clear product you can simply spray on and peel off. One spray can @ $8 at the Ace hardware store should be more than enough.
